Water craft plays an important part of successful river fishing and Des Taylor starts this wonderful program by discussing the effects of flow and contours of the river bed. The fabulous River Kennet sets the scene and shortly after baiting up a big chub soon becomes reluctantly to the net. The rig complete with flattened lead and mini boilies fished on a hair rig is carefully explained shortly before the 1st barbell is landed, the it’s non-0stop action for a couple of hours while Des explains baiting up procedures and bite indications. Des moves swim and skilfully presents sunken bread crust to some chub on the far bank producing a lovely fish. His next quest is for perch and a backwater is tackled. Lobworm head fished on a straight waggler proves to be successful method for perch and a bonus rainbow trout. Finally a Voblex spinner produces a couple of pike to complete the perfect river fishing session.
